Process characteristics of copper motor for ceiling fan

Copper motors are the core components of high-end ceiling fans and fan lights, and their manufacturing process directly affects performance, lifespan, and energy efficiency.
1. Advantages of copper motors
Excellent conductivity: Copper has a conductivity about 60% higher than aluminum, with lower resistance, lower heat generation, and higher efficiency.
High temperature resistance: Copper windings can withstand higher temperatures (usually above 180 ℃), extending the lifespan of the motor.
Mechanical strength: Copper wire is not easily deformed, ensuring winding stability and reducing the risk of short circuit.
Corrosion resistance: Copper has better oxidation resistance than aluminum and is suitable for humid or high-temperature environments.

2. Key process steps
Stator and rotor design:
The stator is wound with pure copper enameled wire and insulated between layers (such as polyester film).
The rotor is usually a squirrel cage structure, and some high-end products use copper guide bars.
Winding process: The fully automatic winding machine ensures uniform coil density and reduces eddy current losses.
Immersion curing: Vacuum impregnation of epoxy resin or polyurethane paint to enhance insulation, heat dissipation, and moisture resistance.
Dynamic balance correction: Precisely calibrate the rotor to reduce vibration and noise (usually requiring an unbalance of ≤ 0.5g · mm/kg).
Temperature rise test: The temperature rise under full load operation should be controlled within 50K (IEC 60034 standard).

Also meets various certifications: ETL/CE/CB/ROHS/ISO, etc
